CLASS OF 2023 GRADUATION

Perry High School Class of 2023

Baccalaureate will take place on Sunday, May 14 at 2 p.m. in the Perry High School Auditorium. The Class of 2023 graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m. in the Maroon Athletic Center, located at 903 North 15th Street in Perry.
 
 
 
2023 CLASS VALEDICTORIAN:
Nathan Graham is the son of Jeff and Lori Graham, and the grandson of Wayne and Ruth Graham of Grove, Oklahoma, Bob and Betty West of Edmond, Oklahoma, and the great grandson of Dolores Graham of Grove, Oklahoma. For the past four years Nathan has been involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, band, jazz band, tennis, student Lions Club representative, and leadership class his senior year. He was also crowned the 2022-23 band coronation king. Nathan has received many academic accolades throughout high school, including Superintendent's Honor Roll, PHS outstanding student in Chemistry, AP Language and Composition, Algebra II, English II, and U.S. History, PHS student of the month, band dedication award, and was awarded the National Rural and Small Town by the College Board National Recognition Programs

He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Perry where his father serves as the Youth Pastor and Worship Minister. In his free time he enjoys fishing and going to Grand Lake. After graduation, Nathan will attend Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, where he received a Founder’s Academic scholarship and plans to major in Christian Ministry to pursue a career as a youth pastor. 
 

2023 CLASS SALUTATORIAN:

Isabelle Stoops is the daughter of Randall and Casey Stoops, and sister to Jackson and Barrett Stoops. She is the granddaughter of Dennis and Gloria Maine of Perry, Oklahoma, Don and Cathy Stoops of Morrison, and Buddy and Carrie Patterson of Beggs. Isabelle has attended Perry Public Schools since Pre-K. Throughout high school she has been involved in National Honor Society, Gifted and Talented, senior leadership class, band, wrestling, and track. She serves as the senior class vice president, as well as the vice president of Student Council. Isabelle was also selected as a queen candidate in the 2022-23 wrestling homecoming coronation. She was named a 2023 All-State wrestler and was a member of this year’s OSSAA girls wrestling Academic State Champion team. Some of her academic highlights include PHS student of the month, Superintendent’s Honor Roll, student Rotarian, and student Lion.

Isabelle is a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry. In her free time she enjoys playing piano, guitar, painting, and going shopping. After graduation, she plans to wrestle for two years at Carl Albert State College then transfer to Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.
