Perry Public Schools announces the resignation of Mr. Joe Jacobs. He served as the Director of Operations for the past year and prior to that served five years as the Perry Upper Elementary School Principal. He has accepted a principal position at another school district closer to home.
Jacobs has shown great leadership and passion for education. He was also instrumental in making several recent enhancements and upgrades to the school’s security and safety measures.
The plan is for Jacobs to continue his duties with Perry Schools through the first week of the new school year to allow a smooth transition for bus transportation and facility needs.
The Board of Education takes this opportunity to appreciate the commitment and invaluable contribution made by Mr. Jacobs during his time at Perry Public Schools and wishes him the very best in his future endeavors.
Superintendent Chad Wilson plans to begin the search for a new Transportation Director immediately.
