Perry High School football homecoming is set for this Friday, September 29 at Daniels Field. Perry will host Hennessey that evening.
The homecoming ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
Candidates selected for this year’s homecoming court are Treg Bowman, Thatcher Colen, Ridge Horn, Addison Farrar, Aubrey McVicker, and Karsyn Struble. The young Maroons serving as homecoming gift bearer and crown bearer during the ceremony are Beckett Rupp and Kollins Bengs.
Aubrey Rose McVicker is the daughter of Rich Johnson of Nichols Hills, Oklahoma and April McVicker of Perry, Oklahoma. She is the granddaughter of Rick and Kerri Johnson of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Jim and Trina McVicker of Perry, Oklahoma. Aubrey’s high school activities include Cheer (4 years), Senior Cheer Captain, 4-time Cheer Academic State Champion; Student Council (4 years), Student Council officer (2 years); Academic Team (4 years); Gifted and Talented (4 years), National Honor Society (4 years), Superintendent’s Honor Roll (4 years); BPA (4 years), Yearbook (3 years), Yearbook Editor (2 years); and Golf (3 years). Aubrey is also in Youth on Main Street (2 years), a Student Lions Representative, and a member of Life.Church Stillwater. In her free time, she likes hanging out with friends and family, reading, taking pictures, and traveling. Aubrey’s favorite football-related memory is cheering on the football team from the sidelines with her friends. After graduation, Aubrey plans to attend a university to major in accounting, and then go to law school.
Thatcher Reese Colen is the son of Darby and Harlene Colen. He has one sister, Habbie, who is a junior at Oklahoma State University. His grandparents are Jim and Jeanne Votaw and the late Verl and Virginia Hentges, all of Perry. Thatcher’s high school activities include Football (4 years), Wrestling (4 years), Gifted and Talented (4 years), the Superintendent’s Honor Roll (4 years), National Honor Society (4 years), Student Council (1 year), and earning the wrestling Granite Award. Thatcher is also an active member of Christ Lutheran Church where he serves as an usher and participates in the youth group. In his free time, he likes to hang out with friends, his dogs, Shoes and Willis, and family. His favorite football memory is celebrating every win as a team. After graduation, Thatcher plans to major in Sports Management at an undecided university.
Karsyn Ann Struble is the daughter of Darrell and Sheila Struble and the big sister to Kendyl Struble. She is the granddaughter of Rickey and Rita Duncan of Granite, Oklahoma, Charles and Vickie Struble of Garber, Oklahoma and the late Melvin Howry of Billings, Oklahoma. Karsyn has been a football manager (4 years), Mat Maid (4 years), Student Rotarian (1 year), Student Council (4 years), National Honor Society (4 years), and is a 2023-24 FFA chapter officer. Karsyn recently placed 1st with her Wildlife Production and Management Proficiency at the State contest and Gold at Nationals. Karsyn's favorite football memory is getting to be on the sidelines as a manager for the Maroons. She enjoys raising bobwhite quail, baking, camping, and going to the lake with her family. After high school, Karsyn plans to attend Oklahoma State University or Southwestern Oklahoma State University, majoring in Pharmacy or Radiology with an emphasis in Oncology.
Ridge Logan Horn is the son of Ron and Tish Horn. He is the younger brother of Morgan and Mattie Horn. Ridge is the grandson of Lynda Hafer of Ponca City, the late Walter Hafer of Perry, and the late Ronald and Marjorie Horn of Perry. Ridge’s high school activities include FFA (4 years), 2023-24 FFA chapter officer, Football (4 years), Tennis (3 years), National Technical Honor Society and the Meridian Business Professionals of America. He is a member of Antelope Valley Church and is a Student Rotarian. In his free time Ridge enjoys hunting, fishing, making jewelry, and showing goats. His favorite football memory was the locker room after playing Mannford. After graduation Ridge plans to further his education at Northern Oklahoma College and Oklahoma State University majoring in Agribusiness. The 1950 Chevy that Ridge and Karsyn will ride in on homecoming night is owned by Randy and Donna Parrish, originally owned by Randy’s grandpa, Joe Horn. Joe was also the great-grandpa to Ridge and the great-great-grandpa to Karsyn.
Addison Jane Farrar is the daughter of Denton and Jennifer Farrar. She is the big sister of Gunnar, Karsten, and Ryker Farrar. Addison is the granddaughter of Randall and Connie Mendenhall of Perry, and Darlene and the late Eugene Farrar of Yukon, Oklahoma. Her high school activities include Football Manager (2 years), Basketball Manager (2 years), Golf (2 years), Cheer (2 years), FFA (4 years), Student Council (4 years), Class Officer (4 years), Student Council Officer (2 years), Cheer Academic State Champion (2 years), National Honor Society (4 years), Gifted and Talented (4 years), and Superintendent’s Honor Roll (4 years). Addison is also a member of the Church of Christ, a representative for Youth on Main Street, and a Student Rotarian. During Addison’s free time, she likes reading, being outside, and hanging out with friends. Addison’s favorite football-related memory is all of the excitement that comes with home football games. After graduation, Addison plans to attend college and pursue a degree in either engineering or business.
Treg Alan Bowman is the son of David and Tina Bowman. He has one brother, Dalston Bowman who is a junior at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He is the grandson of Jack and Connie Betchan of Perry, Oklahoma, Richard and Patti Bowman of Custer City, Oklahoma, and Anita Breitling and Larry Korfman of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Treg’s high school activities include Football (4 years), Wrestling (4 years), Gifted and Talented, Yearbook, Student Council, Student Rotarian, National Honor Society (4 years), Superintendent Honor Roll (4 years), 3A Wrestling State Runner-Up at 190, 2-time Wrestling Granite Award, 2023 Football Chuck Award, 2022 Football Lifter of the Year, and 3-time Nebraska Wrestling Camp All-Star. Treg is also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and Youth Group. In his free time, he likes hanging out with his friends, fishing, and playing video games. Treg’s favorite football memory is celebrating the last second victory against Tonkawa during his sophomore year. After graduation, Treg plans to play college football and work toward a degree in sport training/management.
Kollins Elizabeth Bengs is the magical middle child in the Bengs family extravaganza! With Tommie and Kyle as the creators of this family show, KJ Bengs as her marvelous big brother, and the delightful Kennedy Rose Bengs as the adorable sidekick, Kollins is the star of the family who can’t resist the dance floor, the allure of makeup, and being the ultimate big sister. Her biggest fans are her grandparents, Vicki Bengs, Frank Bengs, and Karci Terrell, all of Crescent, Oklahoma; Sally Maples of Jay, Oklahoma; and Craig Powell and Lee Ann Roderique of Webb City, Missouri. She is in Mrs. Williams’ kindergarten class at Perry Elementary. Kollins is not shy about sharing her vision of the future, and right now she’s got her heart set on becoming a real-life superhero… a doctor!
Beckett Ford Rupp is the oldest son of Laddie and Tory Rupp. He has one little brother, Kellen Rupp. Beckett is the grandson of Mark and Stephanie Rupp of Perry, Ramona and Joe Maehs of Morrison, Oklahoma, and Dennis and Joni Padilla of Van Buren, Arkansas. He is in Mrs. Sewell’s first grade class at Perry Elementary School. Beckett enjoys riding bikes, playing air hockey, working cattle, and having Beyblade battles. Beckett wants to be a rockstar when he grows up!
In addition to the homecoming court, the students serving as pages to hand out programs to guests on homecoming night are Kendyl Struble, 6th grade, and Karsten Farrar, 5th grade.
