Lady Maroons punch ticket to STATE!
The Lady Maroons softball team not only claimed the 2023 District Championship and Regional Championship, but also hosted Super Regionals and added another championship title!
They hosted Prague in Perry for a 2-out-of-3 series. PHS waltzed into the Super Regional Championship as they dominated Prague in both games with a score of 11-4 and 17-1. The team hit a total of eight home runs on the day by Emery Halford, Kennedy Hight, Alley Kennedy, Joely Kukuk, Brooklyn Moses, and Alliyah Shrum.
With an overall record of 32-6, the Lady Maroons are excited about this coveted trip to the OSSAA class 3A State Tournament. The last time the team appeared in the softball state tournament was 2021. This will be their third state run in program history.
This year’s state tournament is October 5-7 and will be at a new location. State games will be played in Shawnee at the FireLake Ball Fields. The address to this facility is 18160 Rangeline Road in Shawnee. The state finals will be played at Oklahoma State University Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater.
Once again, fans must purchase tickets to the state tournament online via GoFan. The tournament pairings and schedule is anticipated to be released on Monday. Watch the school website for more information and the ticket link as it becomes available.
