The Perry Elementary School and Junior High School will host their Scholastic Fall Book Fairs Monday, November 6 through Friday, November 10. This is always a fun event for students and a great fundraiser for the school libraries.

The Elementary School Book Fair will take place in the lower elementary library between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Students in Pre-K through 6th grade will get to visit the Book Fair with their class throughout the week. Students and their families are also invited to attend the Book Fair Family Night on the evening of Thursday, November 9. The Book Fair will be open in the library after school until 7 p.m. that evening.

The Perry Parents and Teachers (PPT) organization will host Thursday’s Family Night activities from 5 to 7 p.m. in the lower elementary gym/cafeteria. There will be a BBQ dinner with bingo and games for the whole family to enjoy. The pulled pork meal is $5 per person. Advance tickets are being sold by Perry Elementary students or may be purchased at the door. Make plans to attend Family Night with your child, grandchild, or a friend on Thursday!

During the Book Fair, parents are encouraged to utilize the eWallet digital payment option, which allows students to have a safe and secure method of paying without having to send cash to school. Parents can set up an online Scholastic account and have funds immediately available for your child to shop at the Book Fair. Friends and family can also contribute to your child’s account. While cash, credit card, and check (payable to Perry Elementary School) are also accepted, the eWallet option is preferred. To setup an eWallet account, visit the Perry Elementary Book Fair webpage and follow eWallet instructions at: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/perryelem

Coinciding during the same week is the Perry Junior High School Book Fair, which will be held at the junior high from 9 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. each day. All 7th and 8th grade students will visit the Book Fair throughout the week. Parents can also set up an eWallet for their child to make Book Fair purchases, but cash and check are also accepted. If paying by check, please make payable to Perry Junior High School. Parents and guests interested in visiting the Junior High Book Fair must check in at the office to get a guest pass to enter the school. Junior High parents can set up an eWallet for digital payment or shop the Book Fair selection online by visiting: bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/perryjuniorhighschool

If you’re all booked up during Book Fair week or just want to keep shopping, anyone can access the online Book Fair using the links provided above. The online Book Fair allows children to send wish lists, offers an expanded book selection (books for all ages, even adult titles), and allows members of the community to purchase books to help support Perry Schools for an extended time, November 3 through November 16.

All purchases at each Book Fair benefit the Perry School Libraries and your support is greatly appreciated. Cash, check, credit card, and the online eWallet are all accepted forms of payment for Book Fair purchases, but the eWallet is strongly encouraged as a safe and easy way for students to pay. Sales tax will be collected on all Book Fair purchases.

If you have any questions regarding the Book Fairs, please call Perry Public Schools Librarian, Karee Grim at 336-4471.
