SHARE THE LOVE

Opportunity to help students with school meal balances

While many families qualify for free or reduced-price school meals, there are still several families who don’t meet the income eligibility guidelines and struggle to pay student meal balances. School meals are a great deal, but the cost can really add up! It’s important to keep children full, happy, and healthy so they can focus and be ready to learn in the classroom.

The Perry Public Schools Child Nutrition Department is offering an opportunity for individuals and organizations interested in helping students in need cover unpaid lunch balances. Patrons can donate funds anonymously to assist Perry families who are facing hardship and can’t make full payments on their child’s breakfast/lunch account.

Donations go into a ’Share the Love’ account, which is applied to outstanding balances. Whether it is a one-time donation or if patrons decide to give monthly, a donation of any size helps make a difference!

Last school year, the generosity of the community supporting this mission was able to help 84 students. This made a significant impact and provided relief to numerous local families during challenging times.

Perry Schools is appreciative of the individuals and organizations who share our vision of overall student success and are willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors in need.

For those interested in contributing to the Child Nutrition ’Share the Love’ account, donations can be mailed to the following address or dropped off at Perry High School in room 105, located near the superintendent’s office. Please make checks payable to "Perry Public Schools."
