The Perry Band program was afforded the opportunity to get their trailer wrapped. They recently upgraded to a larger trailer to haul instruments and equipment as the band travels to contests, games, and events. They'll now represent Perry pride as they travel across the state with an impressive look.
Vehicle wraps are costly and the program was fortunate to have been awarded a grant by the United Fund of Perry. Additional funds to cover the expense were generously donated by First Bank & Trust.
“We are so thankful to live in a town that supports the kids in everything they do! A huge ‘THANK YOU’ to all of the community members and partners who came together to help make this and so much more possible,” said Andrew Houghton, Perry Band Director.
Perry Band Boosters led the efforts to work on getting the design perfected and installation completed. The trailer was delivered this past week and students were excited to see its new look. The artwork design includes a maroon base with music notes in the background, a silhouette of a marching band member, the Perry Schools logo and the words “Perry Maroon Band” on the side.
The Perry Band has over 160 students in the elementary, junior high, and high school bands combined. Throughout the school year, the band competes in 6 competitions, attends 17 high school sporting events, performs at multiple school and community events including concerts, parades, and much more.
