STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Recent successes of the Perry FFA Chapter were highlighted at Monday night’s school board meeting. The Ag teachers and several of our FFA seniors were invited to attend the meeting and inform the BOE of their recent and upcoming accomplishments, including:
• 7 State FFA Degree recipients: Morgan Dolezal, Addison Farrar, Ridge Horn, Kinsey Proctor, Kyle Salas, Adi Sheets, and Karsyn Struble. They will walk across stage at the annual State FFA Convention on May 8.
• Addison, Kinsey, and Kyle will also be awarded with the Academic Excellence Award.
• In addition, 9 students applied for proficiency awards and 6 of those are TOP 3 FINALISTS IN THE STATE! Kyle, Adi, Addison, Morgan, Kinsey, and Laina Buellesfeld will find out their final state placings at convention. (Karsyn’s wildlife production project reached the national level last year)
• Successful Animal Science and Ag 1 Quiz Bowl teams at spring contests.
• An impressive 14 FFA members participating in Ag Mechanics projects/contests, including NW District division champion, Kyler Zagar and reserve champion, Ridge Horn, along with several showmanship winners.
Beyond proud of them all on their hard work this year!
