PHS set to host Super Regionals this week!
Excitement is building for the Perry Maroons baseball program. After winning Regionals last week, they were awarded the opportunity to host Super Regionals in Perry this week.
They will host Victory Christian on Thursday, May 2 at Ripley Field. They’ll play a doubleheader with first pitch set for 2 p.m., followed by the next game beginning at approximately 4:30 p.m. The ‘if-necessary’ game is set for Friday at 4 p.m.
Head coach Bret Bouher commented, "We have had a great season, over 30 wins, a District championship, a Regional Championship, and now a chance to go to the state tournament with a series win this week in the Super Regionals. It has been fun, exciting and rewarding, with a great group of young men. Hopefully we can keep riding the wave a little longer."
Tickets are $10 cash at the gate or $7 + fees online via GoFan (only passes accepted are OSSAA playoff passes). No livestream of games are allowed in playoffs, but you can follow along on the GameChanger app.
The winner of Super Regionals will advance to the State tournament next week, May 9-11. The Maroons are itching for a back-to-back state tournament appearance and are stacked with the talent to do it. Make plans to support the team and coaches this week at home!
