WELCOME NEW STAFF!

As the first day of school approaches, Perry Public Schools would like to introduce new faculty and staff members to the community. Perry has 15 new faces joining the school district this year. 

The new staff members were invited to a new employee orientation on Thursday, August 8. They were served a continental breakfast, welcomed by Superintendent Chad Wilson, introduced to all principals and directors, learned about the school district, and received new employee information. 

Perry Public Schools and the Board of Education are pleased to introduce the following new teachers, staff, and coaches for the 2024-2025 school year:
 
Lower Elementary:
  • Nancy Crow - Lower Elementary Counselor
  • Kamryn Thielen - Kindergarten Teacher
  • Maci Morrison - 1st Grade Teacher
  • Malori Smith - 1st Grade Teacher
  • Ashley Bode - Paraprofessional
  • Madi Graham - Speech Pathologist Assistant 
 
Upper Elementary:
  • Tanner Miller - Upper Elementary Principal 
  • Susan Popplewell - 4th Grade Teacher
  • Alex Valencia - PE Teacher, JH/HS Wrestling Coach
 
Junior High:
  • Josh Factor - HS Football/JH Baseball Coach, Body Mechanics/Strength-Conditioning Instructor 
  • Bain Serna - Paraprofessional 
 
High School:
  • Mike Ryan - HS Wrestling Coach, Computers/Credit Recovery Teacher
  • Courtney Martinez - Career Development Specialist 
  • Casey Davis - Assistant Band Director 
  • Julie Milligan - Physical Science Teacher 
 

Back-to-School Night is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13. Families and students are welcome to come-and-go between 5:00-6:30 p.m. to meet teachers, view classrooms, receive class schedules, locker assignments, drop off school supplies, and more. 

All students will return for the first day of school on Thursday, August 15. School doors open each morning at 7:45 a.m. The first bell rings at all school buildings at 8:10 a.m.
