Football Parking Lot Improvement Project
The parking lot at Daniels Field football stadium recently received a facelift, just in time for football season. The asphalt and gravel parking lot was in poor condition and in need of repairs. Discussions with school administrators and local resources developed a partnership to join efforts on this remediation project.
The City of Perry streets department and Noble County Commissioner District 3 team stepped in to dedicate time and resources to resurface the parking lot. With their equipment and machinery, they worked together to dig up the existing parking lot with an asphalt zipper and began the process of rebuilding a durable, smooth surface.
Their combined forces took three days to complete the project. The parking lot surface is now smoother than ever and ready to handle vehicles and weather for many years to come.
“It looks so much better and is now in great shape, thanks to the City and Commissioner Nick Hughes. We really appreciate their support to make this happen,” said Russell Brand, Perry Public Schools Director of Operations.
