ALL-STATE BAND

 

Two Perry High School band members recently earned All-State honors from the Oklahoma Small School Band Directors Association (OSSBDA). They both auditioned against the top 10th-12th grade band students from across the state. 

 

Senior, Ryan Matthiesen was awarded seventh chair percussion All-State.

 

Junior, Aiden Thompson received fifth chair French horn All-State. In addition, Thompson was also selected as second alternate for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OKMEA) All-State honor band.

 

They will perform in the OSSBDA All-State Band concert this Saturday, February 15 at 3 p.m. at Oklahoma City University. 

 

Their selection this year makes the first Perry Band All-Staters since 2018.
