ELEM. SPRING BOOK FAIR

-----------

Perry Elementary School will host their annual Scholastic Spring Book Fair next week, Monday, March 31 through Friday, April 4. This is always a fun event for students and a great fundraiser for the school library.

The Book Fair will take place in the Perry Lower Elementary School library between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Students in Pre-K through 6th grade will get to visit the Book Fair with their class throughout the week. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will visit during their library times.  Pre-K will visit throughout the week and as a class on Friday. 3rd and 4th grade students will visit during their specials class times. 5th and 6th graders will attend during their elective class times.

All elementary families are invited to attend Family Night on the evening of Thursday, April 3. The Book Fair will be open in the library after school until 7 p.m. that evening. There will also be games for the students from 5-7 p.m. in the lower elementary school hallways.

New this year, there will be the addition of STEM activities during Family Night. Students and parents are encouraged to visit the lower elementary gym to enjoy a variety of fun STEM activities, giveaways, and photo ops from 5-7 p.m. The STEM program will also be collecting items to use for their student projects, such as small pieces of cardboard, paper towel rolls, and toilet paper rolls. If you have any, please bring some to drop in the collection box.

For Book Fair purchases, cash, check, credit card, and the online Scholastic eWallet are all accepted forms of payment. Sales tax is applied to all purchases. The online eWallet is encouraged as a safe and easy way for students to pay. Parents can set up an eWallet account and have funds immediately available for your child to shop at the Book Fair. Friends and family also have the ability to contribute to your child’s account.

For those sending a check, please make checks payable to Perry Elementary School. To setup an eWallet account, visit the Perry Elementary Book Fair webpage and follow eWallet instructions at: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/perryelem

The Book Fair can also be accessed online using the link above, which allows children to send wish lists, provides an expanded book selection (books for all ages, even adult titles), and offers members of the community the ability to purchase books to help support Perry Schools for an extended time.

All proceeds from the Book Fair benefit the Perry School Libraries and your support is greatly appreciated. For questions, please contact Librarian, Karee Grim.
